CCTV – Could you help?
Lancashire Police have launched their new Community Portal for CCTV!
What’s that we hear you ask? Well, it’s a system where you can sign up your CCTV cameras, whether they’re from your business or personal residence, and it allows you to easily send in footage (including large data files in a wide variety of formats) if a crime or incident has taken place.
This is entirely FREE and completely voluntary, so we would like to assure you that by registering with the portal you are NOT giving Lancashire Constabulary access to your CCTV system or any cameras – you are simply making it easier for us to request and collect footage which may really help us in an investigation!
If you’d like to register your camera, just pop an e-mail to NICE.Register@lancashire.police.uk with your name and contact details to get started – you will then get a registration link sent to you from the system.

Walking and Cycle Review
Lancashire County Council are reviewing walking and cycle paths to help make improvements to help make Lancashire a place where cycling and walking is easily accessible, safe to use, attractive and well maintained. By building an infrastructure that makes it easier for people to travel on foot or by cycle, we can make walking and cycling a practical choice as well as a healthy and sustainable one.
Lancashire County Council is working in partnership with Blackpool Council to develop Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans, for our future cycling and walking networks for each area of the county.

Fort Street Telephone Kiosk for sale!
Do you fancy owning an iconic piece of British telecommunications history?
Read Parish Council are considering selling the Telephone Kiosk on Fort Street as there has not been enough interest in refurbishing and keeping it for the community.
The lucky winner would need to take responsibility for removing and transporting the kiosk as well as repairing the ground it occupied in a suitable manner.

Covid 19 Vaccinations
Those who need it can now get a COVID-19 vaccine from the comfort of their own home.
The NHS in your area has launched a new initiative allowing anyone who cannot attend a vaccine clinic can get their vaccine at home.

Street Safe
People in our county are being asked to anonymously flag areas where they don’t feel safe via a new national online tool called StreetSafe.
Launched by the Home Office and The National Police Chiefs’ Council, the pilot project aims to identify areas that need improving and make the streets safe for everyone, particularly women and girls, and to also identify areas where there are fears surrounding anti-social behaviour and environmental issues.
StreetSafe is easy to use and includes a short series of questions which Lancashire residents can anonymously complete online. It is not a crime reporting tool but aims to pinpoint areas and locations where people feel unsafe and the reasons why, such as harassment, lack of street lighting or signs of drug or alcohol abuse.
We are determined to tackle crime and make the streets safer for everyone. A key part of this commitment involves tackling violence against women and girls.
To do this we are taking into consideration factors that contribute to women and girls feeling unsafe, wherever they are. One way people can help us, is to pinpoint on StreetSafe areas where they feel unsafe and explain why.
A crime doesn’t have to have taken place for you to mark it on StreetSafe’s online maps. Information submitted anonymously via Streetsafe will be used by policing in partnership with other agencies to deliver improved wellbeing and safety for communities, especially for women and girls.
The data submitted through StreetSafe is vital in informing violence prevention initiatives throughout the county.
