Are you looking for a project?

The Telephone Kiosk on Fort Street, Read is owned by Read Parish Council and in need of refurbishment. The Phone box has been decommissioned and is no longer in use, when given the opportunity to purchase the iconic piece of British history rather than see it destroyed the Council grabbed the unique chance with both hands.

Now we need the help of our handy residents to restore this phone box to its former glory. The Parish Council has kindly offered to assist in the restoration project by offering funding for materials used in the project.

If you are interested or would like further information you can contact one of your friendly local Councillors to discuss the project here.
